  6.      With every issue released i will be aiming to add better routines and 
  7. useful features, one such feature i would like to add is the 'System Icon' 
  8. this will enable you to alter UFOST in various ways. Samples that are used 
  9. can be altered with the volume setting and of course you could select (Load) 
  10. other samples to be used by the diskmag. Various screen savers can also be 
  11. selected along with the mouse you know the sort of thing i'm talking about.
  12.      The Video and Sample Icon's will be up and running for issue 2 and news 
  13. of the BBS will be added, I like messing about with Video clips and any 
  14. application that make's use of Samples so expect to see more Video & Sampling
  15. features added to Ufost, Of course i am open to suggestions from you so if you
  16. have an idea then let me know. One big change that will take place is the use 
  17. of the Shell that's used by that Great Diskmag ST+.

  19.      My computer set up consist's of an STE and my "Not So working ST" which
  20. brings me onto STE Version's of the diskmag that will make use of it's 
  21. dedicated hardware, intro's will be added from issue two so for now that's all 
  22. the features i can think of that will make Ufost a worthy contender. So once 
  23. again i thankyou for reading this launch issue.

  28.                            The Creation Of Ufost.

  30.      If you are still here then the following bit is all about how and why i 
  31. created UFOst, It was mainly because i know how to program using the 'Stos' 
  32. Language but until i started reading such Diskmags as ST+, Stosser and a few 
  33. other's i then realised that my programing talents could be put to good use 
  34. and all i needed was a subject to base it on. I started out on releasing a 
  35. Hackmag but that idea was quickly dismissed and from that i came up with UFO's 
  36. even though i am working on another diskmag at the moment but that one is a 
  37. long way off from being released.

  39.      I have always liked the ST compared to other platforms even though i own 
  40. an Amiga 500 and i would like a PC but the ST will always be the machine for 
  41. me and with writing this diskmag i hope it will add to the many zines that 
  42. are out there today and bear in mind that the people (myself included) do it 
  43. for the pleasure and because it keep's the ST scene alive. Proof of this has 
  44. to be the fact that i sent off my 10.00 Pounds registration fee for the Missing 
  45. link extension so by doing this i have rewarded others for creating Stos 
  46. extensions and again all for the ST.
  47.      The learning of everything came from many source's again the Stosser 
  48. diskmag was put to good use by the way of Stos Routines and all the things i 
  49. have picked up over the year's. Most importantly though' the Doc Displayer 
  50. programed by Tony Greenwood plays a vital role because without it UFOst 
  51. definitely would not be here today. The challenge i set myself also played a 
  52. good part in this venture but the Feel good factor is well worth it and if i 
  53. am still writing for UFOst in issue's to come then it's all been worth it.
